VEON Ltd (ADR) (NASDAQ:VEON) Launches Mobile Messaging App In Major Markets

VEON Ltd (ADR) (NASDAQ:VEON) announced recently that it’s upgrading its strategy to position itself as a leading online player by launching mobile messaging app in four additional markets including Russia and Pakistan. The messaging app is designed to compete with both WhatsApp owned by Facebook and Viber which is managed by Rakuten.

The new markets that the global telecom operator plans to offer the new global personal internet platform is Ukraine, Georgia, in addition to Russia and Pakistan.
