The Alleged Emerging Market Comments Puts Snap Inc (NYSE:SNAP) To The Spotlight As India’s Social Media User Base Airs Out Frustrations

A former employee who was previously working for Snap Inc (NYSE:SNAP) by the name Anthony Pompliano went ahead to sue the company after it wrongfully terminating him in the early days of this year.

As a matter of fact that took place days ahead of the IPO and the employee laid claims that the provider misrepresented and inflated the various user metrics such as daily active users and retention, together with others.

A large number of the complaints had been redacted at provider’s request. However, at the moment Snap has concurred with Pompliano’s plan to move ahead and unseal the complaints on grounds that there is actually nothing to hide. That was clearly brought out by the Business insider.

Looking at the way things are at the moment, it certainly seems like the decision will come to a point where it might bite Snap considering that one particular quote is culminating into a backlash.

Pompliano was hired by the top company in the year 2015 and his services ere eventually terminated in less than a month afterwards. The former employee had taken to discussing the idea of expanding into the emerging markets where as a matter of fact was able to get the audience of Evan Spiegel. Allegedly the young co-founders words could stir a lot of speculations later on.

According to some top trusted sources, he was heard saying that the app was specifically meant for the rich and that the company was not to move into the poor countries such as Spain and India. He had added that those particular markets had generally showcased high levels of social media indulgence.

The top end provider has come forward in defense of the company’s top executive ruling off the allegations as groundless. According to the top provider, Pompliano was nothing more than an attention seeking and disgruntled ex-employee.

However, most of the social media users in India are not taking the matter lightly. The ex-employees words have caused great harm considering that they have offended the entirely country. Whatever becomes of the provider in the nearby future can’t be speculated. We just have to wait and see.
