The stock of Sirius XM Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI) closed at $5.27 gaining 0.19% in yesterday’s trading session. SiriusXM is making preparations for the New Year’s Eve. In the announcement it made today it outlined that it will be broadcasting concerts, exclusive DJ sets and special performances. SiriusXM also seeks to unveil New Year’s Nation which happens to be a limited-run party music channel.
The company’s spokesperson said, “New Year’s Nation is the ultimate soundtrack to New Year’s Eve parties around the country and will feature the biggest, upbeat party hits from genres across SiriusXM’s music platform. New Year’s Nation will be launched on Saturday.”
SiriusXM is also expected to be airing the year end countdown specials comprising of the greatest songs of 2017 across various music channels including XMU, The Pulse, Hits 1, Alt Nation, The Highway, The Spectrum, Octane, Hip Hop Nation, The Heat, Heart & Soul, Watercolors and B.B. King’s Bluesville.
In January, it is expected that SiriusXM’s Spotlight channel will be configured to highlight several genres on a weekly basis. It will be playing Hip-Hop, Country, Pop, and Rock. The channel will also be featuring concerts, exclusive in-studio sessions, and interviews with Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Kelly Clarkson, The Killers, Lorde, Blake Shelton, Maren Morris, Macklemore, Migos and more.
Those that subscribe to SiriusXM and have access to streaming will be able to listen to SiriusXM’s 200+ channels at the comfort of their homes. They will be using the wide array of the connected devices including Amazon Alexa devices, smart TVs, Sony PlayStation, Apple TV, Sonos speakers, Sony PlayStation and more.
In an interview, a top official working with Sirius XM Holdings Inc said that it had not been easy for them to rise to become the biggest radio company around the world in terms of revenue. He outlined that they were going to continue with their efforts of offering commercial-free music and other services no matter what it took. Fans will be eagerly waiting for the time to come to enjoy the best experience.
