Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) Test Adds News Feeds Covering Different Topics In Mobile App

With its newest change in the way news feed works, Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) is trying to offer more personalized experience to users than ever before. Users can add topics like travel, sports, headlines, etc. through a navigation bar in their iOS apps.

Insights of The Matter

The increasing competition in the social media space has prompted companies like Twitter, Facebook, and Google to make changes in such a way that users can engage with them in a comfortable manner. With this newest test, Facebook intends to change the way mobile users use its app.

As of now there’s only one news feed that makes room for wanted and unwanted stories. However, the new feature allows the users to see stories that they are inclined to see more often on their news feed.

Although this change sounds interesting, Facebook hasn’t given any indication of changing the original news feed in the near future. The change was first noticed by Jason Stein, CEO & Founder of the renowned social media agency, Laundry Service. A spokesperson from Facebook said that Facebook was getting a lot of suggestions to make news feed more diversified. It’s an attempt to make some changes for the good and see how customers respond.

Users can use these changes by the bookmarks that are located right under the favorites. Additionally, they can also try a navigation bar that’s under the Search bar. It may look like an instant change made by Facebook, but experts claim that the company was attempting to make news feed more diversified since October. It has made similar changes in the desktop site already, which are being liked by users.

It’s an attempt that shows how eagerly Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) is trying to become a one-stop solution for all the social media needs of people. The response of mass audience will be known with the passage of time when more and more people will start to notice these changes.
