BlackBerry Ltd (NYSE:BB) Teams Up With Hitachi, Ltd. (ADR) (OTCMKTS:HTHIY) And Fujisoft To Expand The VAI Program

BlackBerry Ltd (NYSE:BB) has revealed that it has teamedup with Fujisoft and Hitachi, Ltd. (ADR) (OTCMKTS:HTHIY) in joint efforts that will drive the VAI program to a higher level.

Blackberry’s Value-Added Integrator (VAI) is a program that the company aims to use to create a network of Blackberry QNX experts as well as experts in Certicom technologies. Both Fujisoft and Hitachi have teamed up with the Canadian handset maker in order to expand the program.  VAI also allows partners to provide integration services and also to take advantage of Blackberry’s embedded technologies which they leverage in order to come up with mission-critical and secure solutions.

Partners in the VAI program also offer support to various services and technologies such as Black berry’s QNX Wireless Framework, Momentics Tool Suite, QNX SDK for Apps & Media, QNX Hypervisor, QNX and QNX Neutrino Realtime OS. Some of the partners in the program include Mission Embedded,Micon Global,Mcloudware, and Archermind Technology.

Fujisoft and Hitachi will boost the technical operations of the technical operations of the VAI program with Blackberry QNX. The latter will specifically allow Hitachi to continue expanding its business and customer development.

Karimi also pointed out that Japan has been a leader when it comes to cutting-edge technology such as embedded software systems and the Internet of Things. He added that this means there are significant opportunities for firms that offer software solutions in various industries such as healthcare, automotive and the manufacturing industries. The VP claims that his company’s trusted cryptography-based solutions and software should allow companies all over the world to create highly secure systems.

Blackberry stock closed at $10.88 during Monday’s trading session after a 0.83 percent gain compared to the value of the stock during the previous close.
