SIG and GE Digital have entered into a pact to provide innovation in packaging solutions for the food and beverage industries by leveraging IoT solutions. As per the terms of the deal, Predix ServiceMax industrial applications and Predix Asset Performance Management of GE will be deployed at over 400 customer factories across the world to improve efficiency, develop intelligent solutions and create new possibilities for the customers.
The customers are looking for affordable, sustainable and safe and innovative products. The beverage and food industry is now ripe for the digital transformation. The manufacturers are now facing supply chain complexities, competition, and the shorter production cycles. It necessitates the need for employing innovative technologies so that manufacturers can predict, identify and cater to the changing needs of the customers.
SIG can leverage the Predix ServiceMax industrial applications and Predix APM of GE to create an end-to-end digital platform and provide an insight/ data driven intelligence to global customers.
