SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ:SPWR) Expected To Generate 64 Megawatts In First Round French Tender For Rooftop Projects, Sources Say

SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ:SPWR), which happens to be a majority-owned subsidiary of Total SA has today gone ahead to make the much awaited news. The top end provider has outlined that in the course of first round of France’s tender process for rooftop solar projects, the provider remains confident about it capability to actually supply about 57 percent of the 361 awarded solar projects.

Peter Aschenbrenner, who is the current SunPower Executive Vice President while speaking to a number of top news reporters went ahead to say, “For the second time this year in France’s tender process, SunPower has been selected to supply more winning projects than any other brand. We are proud to be the leading provider of solar panels for the solar projects announced in this first tender round, and to play a key role in promoting the use of clean, renewable solar power in France.”

In some earlier reports, Sunpower had gone ahead to declare that indeed stood out among the rest when it came to delivering the first round of France’s tender process for large-scale solar power, availing about 31 percent of the solar panels much needed in line with the respective awarded solar projects.

Combining the rooftop solar tender awards and the large-scale as well, the provider hopes to be able to supply about 194 megawatts of solar panels to the winning rooftop and large-scale projects.

It goes without saying that indeed this is a progressive move by Sunpower and it has sparked a lot of excitement among the concerned parties. It is as a matter of fact a moment that has brought to the limelight a clear demonstration of both the quality and as well as the efficiency of SunPower’s solar solutions, which do much to contribute towards the generation of reliable, affordable as well as clean energy globally.

According to one of the company’s spokeswoman, an enormous portion of the panels SunPower supplies will made at the provider’s facilities in France. Comparing that to the conventional panels, it would indeed be in order to state that SunPower E-Series solar panels actually generate 30 percent more energy in the same space over the first 25 years which is quite impressive.
