The performance
Arista Networks reported that revenue in 4Q2016 came at $328 million, a jump of 33.6% compared to 4Q2015, and a growth of 13% from 3Q2016. GAAP gross margin came at 64.1% as against GAAP gross margin of 63.6% in 4Q2015 and 64.2% in 3Q2016. Non-GAAP gross margin stood at 64.4%, versus non-GAAP gross margin of 64% in 4Q2015 and 64.6% in 3Q2016.
Jayshree Ullal, the President and CEO of Arista, reported that 2016 was indeed a great year for the company, as they surpassed $1 billion in yearly sales within 2 years of becoming a public firm. The clients are accepting cloud networking at an unparalleled pace. In 4Q2016, GAAP net income amounted to $58.8 million versus $43.9 million in 4Q2015.
In the reported quarter, the company launched Arista AlgoMatch™, an innovation that offers advanced network policy application for modern cloud networking alongside with the latest Arista “7160” Series 25/100GbE programmable base. It offers clients with more scalable and flexible solutions for telemetry, access control and secure cloud networking. The new series uses latest merchant silicon from Cavium to offer a programmable platform that reduces operational expenses by supporting Flexible Profiles to mitigate network complexity and offers native 25GbE interfaces that boost the new IEEE standard.
Arista Networks delivered the Arista ‘7280R’ Universal Leaf and Arista ‘7500R’ Universal Spine platforms. It launched the Arista FlexRoute™ Engine, which offers support for the internet routing table and scales to over 1 million courses on the Arista ‘7280R’ Universal Leaf and Arista ‘7500R’ Universal Spine platforms. The company also reported next-gen, real-time analytics and telemetry capabilities that leverage CloudVision® and Arista EOS®. It started a strategic association with Hewlett Packard Enterprise to close on a common objective of secure Hybrid IT solutions.
